National Conference on Women in Engineering
The CFES is proud to offer the National Conference on Women in Engineering (NCWIE) as a valuable service to its members. NCWIE aims to encourage discussion and collaboration between engineering students and professionals around the theme of women in engineering. More recently, the conference has also addressed issues regarding general diversity in engineering.
NCWIE delegates will not only leave the conference with a solid understanding of the issues women encounter in the engineering profession, but they will also be equipped to appropriately address these issues. Students attending NCWIE will have the opportunity to meet and hear from successful, interesting, and talented speakers that have completed engineering degrees and leveraged their abilities to tailor their careers in a multitude of different ways.
The mission of the CFES is to support growth and communication, and to ensure moral, intellectual, cultural, academic, social, and economic well-being for its members. NCWIE supports our mission by creating networking opportunities and providing a better understanding of the issues facing women in engineering, all while inspiring leadership and active participation in all facets of engineering education. The conference is open to all undergraduate engineering students in Canada, both male and female.
